Dr. Nancy Spencer, Clinical Psychologist

Nancy Spencer is a clinical psychologist with a specialty in Health Psychology in Older Adults. She is the founder and owner of Fort Myers Psychology, PA since 2006. Dr. Spencer was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota and received her B.S. in Psychology from St. Lawrence University in upstate New York, an M.S. in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern and her Doctorate of Psychology from Nova Southeastern University’s Center for Psychological Studies. She completed her Clinical Internship at the James A. Haley Veteran’s Hospital in Tampa, with specialty areas in geriatric psychology and health psychology. She has been practicing psychology in Fort Myers since July 2002. Dr. Spencer also offers services including memory assessment, individual or couples therapy, consult service to Assisted Living Facilities and Skilled Nursing Facilities. Her responsibilities are to provide individual and group therapy to residents and/or spouses who may be experiencing memory loss or changes, as well as those who may have a mood disorder such as depression or anxiety.

Dr. Emily McNally

Dr. Emily McNally is a licensed psychologist in Florida and New Jersey.  She was born and raised in New Jersey.  She earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees at William Paterson College of NJ and her doctorate degree from New York University.  She completed an internship at Lyons VA Medical Center in NJ and worked in private practice for many years before moving to FL.

 

In Florida, she joined the Cape Coral VA Healthcare Center  and worked there for 10 years.  As a Certified Addiction Professional (CAP), Dr. McNally has provided therapy for individuals, groups and families affected by substance use disorders.  Her treatment philosophy relies on relational psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to support the needs of each client. She collaborates with clients to identify and work toward meaningful goals that promote their emotional growth.

Dr. Myra Marcus, LCSW

Myra Marcus received her MSW and PhD from Columbia University. She is an LCSW and has been in private practice for 15 years.  She is a gerontologist who has worked with older persons in a variety of settings since the beginning of her career. She specializes in Alzheimer’s Disease, Memory Loss, and other dementias.  Her Doctoral Dissertation, “Caregivers of dementia patients: Their burden and sources of help. A meta analysis” has been well received in the geriatric community.

 

Dr. Marcus was a Professor of Social Work at Barry University and Florida Gulf Coast University for a combined 15 years. She has conducted seminars in memory loss, Caregiver Burden, and Aging in Today’s World and Women and Aging. She has presented at professional conferences and her work has been published in several scholarly journals. Dr. Marcus was a writer for a prestigious blog called “In Care of Dad” for several years.

Thomas Barr, Ph.D.

Tom brings over 30 years of experience as a psychologist, mental health counselor, and marriage and family therapist. He specializes in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, adjustment disorders, chemical dependency, eating disorders, pain management, and clients navigating life transitions, bariatric surgery, or non-surgical weight loss. His background combines general clinical expertise with advanced training in behavioral medicine and psychological assessment.

Throughout his career, Tom has developed specialized techniques in pain management and clinical hypnosis, with applications in hospital and outpatient settings including burn units, oncology, and surgical care. He has served as a trainer for the National Institute on Drug Abuse and as a consultant for the Florida Supreme Court, law enforcement agencies, and public education systems. In addition to clinical work, he has taught self-hypnosis for performance and anxiety reduction, and provides executive coaching, organizational consulting, and performance enhancement support for professionals and athletes.

Dr. Leah Faber

Dr. Leah Faber is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PsyD). She was born and raised in the Chicagoland area and moved to Florida two years ago. She received her Bachelor's degree from Hanover College, and her masters degree and doctorate from Midwestern University. Dr. Faber completed her Clinical Internship and Postdoctoral Fellowship in Florida Gulf Coast University in the Counseling and Psychological Services department where she performed psychological assessments, individual therapy, and group psychotherapy.

 

She practices primarily through a Relational and Interpersonal lens, with additional training in Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. She will modify each treatment based on the special and unique needs of each individual client. Her research was on the multidimensionality of Loneliness across the lifespan, primarily focusing on younger adults/college students, and older adults. Dr. Faber has training and experience working with depression, trauma, anxiety, interpersonal concerns, grief, life transitions, relationship issues, eating and body image concerns, addictions, communication difficulties, and other everyday challenges that impact one's quality of life.

Dr. Keith Bauer

Dr. Keith Bauer is a Licensed psychologist since 1980.  He has vast experience in medical surgical hospitals and work as a medical consultant to Social Security Disability Insurance.

 

He has been trained in psychopharmacology and trained in neuropsychological screenings and assessments.  He further worked as a consultant to Department of State doing psychological assessment of independent contractors deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan.  He has been a National public speaker and a presenter at national, regional and state professional conventions.  He is the author of 5 books as well as articles in professional journals.

Dr. Rachel Coury

Dr. Rachel Coury is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. She was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. She received her bachelor's degrees in psychology and sociology from Duquesne University, and her master's and doctoral degrees in counseling psychology from Chatham University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dr. Coury moved to Fort Myers two years ago where she completed her Doctoral Internship and Postdoctoral Fellowship at Florida Gulf Coast University's Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS).

 

Dr. Coury has clinical experience in multiple settings, working with a wide range of clients via individual therapy, group therapy, and psychological assessment. Within her use of a person-centered lens, she believes in the importance of flexibility and versatility within therapeutic approaches, adjusting treatment to the individual's needs. Dr. Coury utilizes an integrative approach to therapy, including interventions from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT). She works with a wide range of presenting concerns including but not limited to, depression, anxiety, trauma, autism, addiction, identity-based concerns, and interpersonal/relational difficulties.

Raysa Rodriguez, LCSW

Raysa Rodriguez is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).  She was raised in Southwest Florida and received her MSW from Florida Gulf Coast University. Raysa has provided services for clients in group, family, and individual settings through intensive therapy programs. She has experience helping clients regulate emotions and managing stress through Dialectical Behavioral Therapy based interventions. Raysa has worked with clients with a variety of diagnoses including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and co-occurring substance misuse disorders.

Gail Bialk, MCS, LCSW

Gail Bialk is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), holding licenses in the states of Florida and Wisconsin.  Gail graduated from Loyola University with a Master's degree in Social Work, with an undergraduate degree from Ottawa University in Human Services.  After having a successful career serving those with mental health issues in Wisconsin, Gail now resides in Florida, ready and committed to the mental health and well being of her clients.

 

Gail has over 10 years of experience in a variety of settings and with diverse clients, including both long-term and brief interventions.  Treatment has a special focus on behavioral and biopsychosocial problems and disorders.  Gail uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Harm Reduction and Procovery/Recovery, Trauma Focused Therapy.

Daniel Griffin, LMHC

Daniel Griffin is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). He was born and raised in Asheville, North Carolina. He moved to Florida in 2021. He graduated from Western Carolina University with his B.S. in Psychology. He graduated from Liberty University with his M.A. in Professional Counseling. He is EMDR trained by The EMDR Institute. He specializes in trauma treatment and works with children, adolescents, and adults. He has worked with clients with a variety of diagnoses, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, and many others.

Antonia Crook, RMHCI

Antonia Crook, RMHCI, is a client-centered counselor who uses a compassionate, collaborative approach to support resilience, self-awareness, and emotional well-being. She integrates mindfulness, psychoeducation, and somatic awareness to help clients improve regulation, reduce distress, and support overall recovery.

She has experience in intensive outpatient settings with training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), as well as extensive work with older adults in continuing care communities, including dementia care and caregiver support. Antonia holds advanced training in mental health counseling and brings a holistic background that blends clinical practice with mindfulness-based and integrative approaches.

Lory Rodriguez, RMHCI

Lory Rodriguez is a master's level Clinical Mental Health Counselor Intern and a National Certified Mental Health Counselor.  Lory has a Master of Art in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wake Forest University as well as a Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Human Nutrition from the University of Florida and a master's in nutrition and Dietetics from Florida International University. Lory loves meeting new people and exploring issues with clients of all ages and holds a strong belief in the transformative power of therapy. Her experience has focused on a variety of presenting issues, including anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, interpersonal and relational issues, and transitions.  She is passionate about empowering individuals and assisting them with identifying their values and life goals.  She uses various theoretical orientations with a focus on person-centered orientation and a trauma-focused approach to assist clients with healing and personal growth.
