Dr. Emily McNally

 

Dr. Emily McNally is a licensed psychologist in Florida and New Jersey.  She was born and raised in New Jersey.  She earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees at William Paterson College of NJ and her doctorate degree from New York University.  She completed an internship at Lyons VA Medical Center in NJ and worked in private practice for many years before moving to FL.

 

In Florida, she joined the Cape Coral VA Healthcare Center  and worked there for 10 years.  As a Certified Addiction Professional (CAP), Dr. McNally has provided therapy for individuals, groups and families affected by substance use disorders.  Her treatment philosophy relies on relational psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to support the needs of each client.  She collaborates with clients to identify and work toward meaningful goals that promote their emotional growth.

Dr. Nancy Spencer is a clinical psychologist with a specialty in Health Psychology in Older Adults.  Dr. Spencer was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota and received her B.S. in Psychology from St. Lawrence University in upstate New York, an M.S. in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern and her Doctorate of Psychology from Nova Southeastern University’s Center for Psychological Studies.  She completed her Clinical Internship at the James A. Haley Veteran’s Hospital in Tampa, with specialty areas in geriatric psychology and health psychology. She has been practicing psychology in Fort Myers since July 2002.  Dr. Spencer also offers services including memory assessment, individual or couples therapy, consult service to Assisted Living Facilities and Skilled Nursing Facilities.  Her responsibilities are to provide individual and group therapy to residents and/or spouses who may be experiencing memory loss or changes, as well as those who may have a mood disorder such as depression or anxiety.

Raysa Rodriguez, RCSWI

Raysa Rodriguez is a registered Clinical Social Work Intern (RCSWI).  She was raised in Southwest Florida and received her MSW from Florida Gulf Coast University. Raysa has provided services for clients in group, family, and individual settings through intensive therapy programs. She has experience helping clients regulate emotions and managing stress through Dialectical Behavioral Therapy based interventions. Raysa has worked with clients with a variety of diagnoses including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and co-occurring substance misuse disorders.

Gail Bialk, MCS, LCSW

 

Gail Bialk is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), holding licenses in the states of Florida and Wisconsin.  Gail graduated from Loyola University with a Master's degree in Social Work, with an undergraduate degree from Ottawa University in Human Services.  After having a successful career serving those with mental health issues in Wisconsin, Gail now resides in Florida, ready and committed to the mental health and well being of her clients.

 

Gail has over 10 years of experience in a variety of settings and with diverse clients, including both long-term and brief interventions.  Treatment has a special focus on behavioral and biopsychosocial problems and disorders.  Gail uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Harm Reduction and Procovery/Recovery, Trauma Focused Therapy.

Dr. Myra Marcus, LCSW

Myra Marcus received her MSW and PhD from Columbia University. She is an LCSW and has been in private practice for 15 years.  She is a gerontologist who has worked with older persons in a variety of settings since the beginning of her career. She specializes in Alzheimer’s Disease, Memory Loss, and other dementias.  Her Doctoral Dissertation, “Caregivers of dementia patients: Their burden and sources of help. A meta analysis” has been well received in the geriatric community.

 

Dr. Marcus was a Professor of Social Work at Barry University and Florida Gulf Coast University for a combined 15 years. She has conducted seminars in memory loss, Caregiver Burden, and Aging in Today’s World and Women and Aging. She has presented at professional conferences and her work has been published in several scholarly journals. Dr. Marcus was a writer for a prestigious blog called “In Care of Dad” for several years.

Dr. Keith Bauer

Dr. Keith Bauer is a Licensed psychologist since 1980.  He has vast experience in medical surgical hospitals and work as a medical consultant to Social Security Disability Insurance.  He has been trained in psychopharmacology and trained in neuropsychological screenings and assessments.  He further worked as a consultant to Department of State doing psychological assessment of independent contractors deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan.  He has been a National public speaker and a presenter at national, regional and state professional conventions.  He is the author of 5 books as well as articles in professional journals.

Dr. Veronica Rivera Velez

 

Dr. Veronica Rivera Velez is a licensed clinical psychologist. She was born and raised in Puerto Rico and moved to Florida in 2017. She received her Bachelor's degree from the University of Puerto Rico and her doctorate from Carlos Albizu University in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Dr. Rivera completed her Clinical Internship and Postdoctoral Fellowship in a community mental health setting in Springfield, Massachusetts by providing services both in English and Spanish. Most recently, Dr. Rivera worked with the active duty military members at the MacDill AFB in Tampa by providing individual therapy and psychological assessments. She practice a Cognitive Behavioral and Interpersonal Therapy approach to therapy to respond to the needs of each client. Dr. Rivera has experience working with trauma survivors, depression and anxiety related disorders as well as neurodevelopmental conditions that impact everyday performance and the quality of life.

Thomas Barr, Ph.D.

Tom has experience as a psychologist, mental health counselor, and marriage and family therapist. His over 30 years have enabled him to develop many strengths and specialties:

Tom has expertise in general psychology as well as advanced expertise in treating anxiety and depression, chemical dependency, pain management, eating disorders, trauma, adjustment disorders/life transition, and patients considering bariatric surgery or non-surgical weight loss.

Tom has developed specialized techniques in pain management and behavioral medicine, and has provided teaching and guidance in outpatient and hospital settings in the areas of medical grand rounds and medical intern training. He has served as a trainer for the National Institute of Drug Abuse and has been a consultant for the Florida Supreme Court, law enforcement, and Dade County Public Schools.

Tom also has 30 years of experience using clinical hypnosis in a wide range of problem areas. His techniques have been implemented in hospital burn units, oncology, pain management, and hand surgery units. He was also a guest lecturer for 8 years at the University of Miami Law School where he taught self-hypnosis to third year law students for performance enhancement and anxiety reduction. Tom also does executive coaching, organizational development, consultation and has worked with many professional athletes to help improve focus and performance.

Daniel Griffin, LMHC

Daniel Griffin is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). He was born and raised in Asheville, North Carolina. He moved to Florida in 2021. He graduated from Western Carolina University with his B.S. in Psychology. He graduated from Liberty University with his M.A. in Professional Counseling. He is EMDR trained by The EMDR Institute. He specializes in trauma treatment and works with children, adolescents, and adults. He has worked with clients with a variety of diagnoses, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, and many others.

Judy Jacques, LCSW

Judith Jacques is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She feels that her years of professional and personal experience have helped her to understand her clients. She is well versed in a number of therapeutic interventions. She loves to work with clients of all ages with specialties in anxiety, depression, aging, relationships, grief, life transitions, addiction, job stress, and eating disorders. Her style is to use warmth and humor to make her clients feel welcomed.
